This session made my heart SO happy ❤ I have had the idea take lifestyle photos of a family car wash for a few years and when the Kraus family brought home their new (to them) beauty, Jolene, I knew I had to get ahold of them and see if they were up for some lifestyle photos and they were immediately and enthusiastically on board! We ended up with the most beautiful, late summer evening for this session. I will never forget the gorgeous beams of light streaming across their driveway as I arrived and the way Samson greeted me, eager to show me around their new truck! This family has that rare kind of warmth and generosity that makes you feel totally at ease in their presence. Their energy is like one big, sweet hug and you just want to move in with them and hang out with them forever! I drove away from this session with so many beautiful images and so much joy in my heart (and a few happy tears) Below are a few words written by Anna about why she felt like her lifestyle session was special to them. She said it better than I ever could 🙂
“Our lifestyle shoot with Allie Burns was different from any family photo session we have ever had! We had just finished restoring a classic truck, and Allie suggested a truck-wash photo session, and I couldn’t imagine anything more perfect for my 2 gear-head little boys and husband. We just wore shorts and tee shirts and played in the bubbles and suds. We laughed and threw water on each other and ran around having fun. We had so much fun and so much joy that afternoon. Usually, getting cooperation from a two year old and a six year old for a nice photo is impossible, but they had the greatest time!! And Allie’s energy is so infectious that our pictures came out better than we could have ever hoped. (Allie has a special gift for working with little people and getting even the grumpiest or most nervous to have some fun.) She gave us suggestions of what to do and where to stand too, in case our grownup selves started getting self-conscious The result was pictures I’ll treasure forever: golden light filtering through the trees on our crazy family just enjoying the heck out of each other.
